Metral® – Performance based Plating for Standard Metral Vertical Receptacles

FCI developed GXT in the 1980’s and has used this plating system on numerous connector

families for over 25 years.

Moving into performance based plating specifications FCI presents its next family ready for

conversion meeting globally Telcordia GR-1217-CORE level Central Office (CO). This

important move gives FCI the option to supply Metral Signal Vertical Receptacles with either

Gold or GXT™ (Palladium Nickel alloy with gold flash). To strengthen competitive position,

continuously meeting requirements, FCI will switch to GXT option as preferred plating system

globally. The product specification will continue to show Gold and GXT as plating systems

released for meeting Telcordia CO performance.

Metral Vertical Receptacle NGEN-series features equal active section as Metral RA

Receptacles F-series so that we present qualification report EL-2006-05-008-SR-JAK01 as

evidence versus TELCORDIA requirements
