FCI is now introducing Palladium Nickel Alloy with Gold Flash( GXT), as additional Plating Material for
Smartcard Connectors series. FCI had developed GXT plating in the 1980’s and have used this plating
on numerous other connector families over the past three decades. Consequent to this FCI will have
the flexibility to offer both types of plating against the same specification. This will have no impact on
the performance of the connector and their would be no change in the FCI part numbers
