The Weidmueller TOP termination method is a
screw clamp connection that simplifies field wiring
work. even in the most restricted spaces.
With the cable entry and screw activation points
on the same side of the connector. equipment de-
sign can be simplified.
Standard screw clamps normally have an opera-
ting angle of 90° between cable entry and screw.
The equipment must then be designed to incorpo-
rate this required area of operation.
When the clamping screw is turned. the ‘heel’
clamp in the Weidmueller TOP connection is leve-
red onto the cable. Further turning of the screw
presses the cable onto the current bar until the re-
quired torque level is achieved; securely fixing the
cable.
