Socket Adapters are the interface between programming hardware (such as the Lattice Model 300
desktop programmer), and Lattice programmable devices. This document shows which Lattice
Socket Adapters support which Lattice programmable products. Lattice Socket Adapters are
device and package specific, however some Socket Adapters support multiple Lattice products.
Use the tables on the following pages to determine which socket adapter you require.
Lattice Socket Adapters support the following families: LatticeECP2/M, LatticeXP2, LatticeXP, MachXO,
ispXPLD, ispXPGA, ispMACH, MACH, ispPAC, ispGDX, ispGAL and GAL.
Some socket adapters are provided by third parties, and interface to programming hardware provided
by those third parties. Contact information for these third parties is provided at the end of this document.
NOTE: A Lattice "28-pin Converter" (Lattice Part Number "pDS4102N-28P2SAB"), is required to
program all devices that use the Lattice adapter on Approved Third-Party Programmers.
Socket adapter products with the prefix "PN" in the ordering part number (e.g. PN-xxxx), and the
following products: pDS4102N-28P2SAB; comply to the following China RoHS Environment-
Friendly Use Period
Socket adapter products with the prefix "PN" in the ordering part number (e.g. PN-xxxx), and the
following products: pDS4102N-28P2SAB, pDS4102PM300; are RoHS compliant, and also
comply to the following China RoHS Environment-Friendly Use Period.
The "28-pin Converter" is used in conjunction with Lattice pDS4102-xxxx, PA-xxxx, and PN-xxxx adapters.
