16 APPLICATION INFORMATION
16.1
Semiconductors are light sensitive. Exposure to light
sources can cause malfunction of the IC. In the application
it is therefore required to protect the IC from light. The
protection must be done on all sides of the IC, i.e. front,
rear and all edges.
16.2
The pinning of the PCF8814 has an optimal design for
single-plane wiring e.g. for chip-on-glass display modules.
Display size: 65 x 96 pixels.
16.3
In the following applications, the required minimum values
for the external capacitors are:
