In mode 1, the event counter operates as two independent 8-bit pulse accumulators or as one 8-
bit pulse accumulator and one 8-bit PWM. The two counters work independently of each other. If
mode 1 is selected (EVMDB = 0, EVMDA = 1), then the elements of the event counter are configured
as shown in Figure 11-3.
