5.9 Comparator
The EM78P164N has one comparator comprising of five analog inputs and one output.
The comparator can be utilized to wake up the EM78P164N from sleep mode. The
comparator circuit diagram is depicted in the figure below.
5.9.1 External Reference Signal
The analog signal that is presented at CinX– is compared to the signal at Cin+, and the
digital output (CO) of the comparator is adjusted accordingly by taking the following
notes into considerations:

The reference signal must be between Vss and Vdd.
The reference voltage can be applied to either pin of the comparator.
Threshold detector applications may be of the same reference.
The comparator can operate from the same or different reference sources.
