Product

3M is discontinuing the production of the PCMCIA Card Headers and Ejectors, MCH Series. PCMCIA is

an older technology and is experiencing steep declines in consumption and is being replaced by more

current products. The 3M tooling is aging and the declining sales do not support the investment needed to

continue reliable production.

Last time purchases need to be placed by August 31, 2008. Production will shut down on September 30,

2008. 3M will make every attempt to satisfy the last time orders placed by August 31. In the event

customer demand exceeds available capacity, 3M will allocate product at its sole discretion.

Alternate Solution

There is no alternative available from 3M for PCMCIA connectors.

Tech Sheets

The following tech sheets will be discontinued: TS-1105, TS-1106, TS-1108, TS-1109, TS-1110, TS-1111,

TS-1112, TS-1113 and TS-2114.

Notify existing customers of the discontinuance.

Obtain last time buy requirement orders by August 31, 2008

Distribution may return discontinued products in unbroken original standard packaging for credit.

Return requests must be submitted in writing to the distributor’s customer service representative by

August 31, 2008.

Return requests will be reviewed and the distributor notified of the RMA number and 3M return

location. Product must be received at the designated return location no later than October 31, 2008,

to be honored for credit.
