SPECIM EN PREPARATION
All contacts were crim ped onto 20 AW G wire prior to being subm itted for testing. The 20 AW G wires
were m easured to 6.25 inches from the back of the crim p, cut, stripped and tinned to achieve 6 inches
of insulation. The 20 AW G wires were then soldered onto printed circuit board PN 93-660001, Revision
B. Pins and sockets were m ated and all solder joints were inspected.
TEST PROCEDURES
Term ination Resistance
Term ination resistance was perform ed per TE Connectivity (TE) Specification 109-6-6, Revision J. All
m ated test specim ens were subjected to 20 m illivolts m axim um open circuit voltage at 100
m illiam peres. Measurem ents were taken using a 4 wire scan m ethod. A system standard was read to
verify that the system was functioning properly.
Durability
Durability was perform ed per TE Specification 109-27, Revision D. All tin plated specim ens were
subjected to 100 m anual m ating and unm ating cycles. Term ination resistance readings were taken
initially, and after 25, 50, and 100 cycles. The gold specim ens were subjected to a total of 200 m anual
cycles. Term ination resistance readings were taken initially, and after 25, 50, 100, 150, and 200 cycles.
