Effective immediately, 3M is discontinuing the 3M

SBL Dual-Row SIP Socket Strip products listed

above. Manufacturing support is no longer

available for this product series. These products

are not listed in the published 3M EISD price

pages, catalog or website.

Alternative Solution

Customers may substitute 3M SBL Single-Row

SIP Socket Strips placed side-by-side as a

replacement for the discontinued dual-row

products. 3M SBE Single-Row SIP Socket

Strips are also a potential substitute with a thicker

plastic body and these are promoted in the 3M

EISD price pages, catalog and website (TS-1090).

Please notify existing customers of the

discontinuance and qualify alternative

solution. 3M will not be offering the

typical advanced notice for last purchase of

the discontinued products since the

manufacturing capability is not available.

Distribution may return discontinued

products in original standard packaging at

current distributor pricing. Return requests

must be submitted in writing to the

distributor’s customer service

representative by October 24, 2003.

The return request will be reviewed and the

distributor notified of the RMA number and

3M return location. Product must be

received at the designated return location

no later than November 21, 2003, to be

honored for credit.
