The CR-XA Universal CRT Adapter can be used by the skilled field technician
with the aid of the tube data sheet or schematic for the TV set or video monitor.
With this Set-Up Chart you can look up the CRT adapter for that tube type and
look up the wiring diagram for the pin outs of that tube type. Then connect the
CR-XA to the appropriate pins.
Take extra care to be sure CRT pins and adapter test clips are properly
identified. Double check connections before testing. Improper connections may
damage the CRT under test or the CRT tester.
This adapter is truly universal.
including special types for which no standard adapters are available. When a
specialized adapter is not available the CR-XA is a convenient all-purpose
adapter. CRT adapters for popular tube socket basing offer fast, accurate
connections for greater convenience in testing of most CRT’s.

Use the information on the next three pages to see how to wire up your CR-XA to the correct pins
on a CRT. Look up your tube type in the Setup Chart and look to see which CR adapter to use.
Then look up the wiring specifications on the CRT adapter wiring assembly chart (starting on the
next page) to see where to connect the CR-XA leads.
