IMAGE INTENSIFIER UNIT C9016 SERIES
The C9016 series is a family of gated image intensifier units comprising of a proximity-fo-
cused image intensifier and gate drive circuit. A highly sensitive video camera can be easi-
ly configured when used in combination with a CCD camera.
The built-in image intensifier is available with a GaAsP photocathode or multialkali photo-
cathode. The GaAsP photocathode type delivers a high quantum efficiency ideal for imag-
ing of biological emission and fluorescence when used with a micorscope. The multialkali
photocathode type offers a wide spectral range from the UV to near infrared region.
The C9016 series can be operated and controlled from the remote controller or a PC (per-
sonal computer) via the USB interface connector. Hamamatsu also provides various op-
tions for the C9016 series, such as CCD cameras with a fiber optic window.

HIGH-SPEED GATED IMAGE INTENSIFIER UNITS
These units consist of a high-speed gated image intensifier head integrated with a gate
drive circuit and a separate controller incorporating a high voltage power supply. Just
connecting the image intensifier head to a CCD camera configures a high-speed shutter
camera for observing changes in high-speed phenomena such as an electrical spark. In
fluorescence measurement, the target signal can be accurately measured without being
affected by primary light such as excitation light.

WITH HIGH-SPEED ELECTRONIC SHUTTER C5909 SERIES
The C5909 series is an easy to use compact camera housing an image intensifier fiber-
coupled to a CCD, as well as a CCD drive circuit, high-voltage power supply and high-
speed gate circuit. The C5909 series makes it easy to measure low-light-levels and capture
images of various high-speed phenomena.
A wide lineup of 12 models are currently provided allowing you to select multialkali or
GaAs photocathodes, the number of MCPs and the gate time.
