VI. Wavelength Stabilization
The laser transmitter will not be turned on until its temperature is adjusted to ensure
operation within the specified channel (X +/- 0.4nm). This temperature stabilization time
is dependent on the ambient temperature conditions, but will typically occur within 30
seconds of powering the GBIC (90 seconds maximum). The device will transmit within
the specified wavelength tolerance (X +/- 0.1nm) within 5 seconds of transmitter
operation.

Note that the GBIC Specification requires an ambient temperature range of 0 to +60C.
Finisar FTR-1631-XX GBICs have an extended range from 0°C to +70°C case
temperature as specified in Table 8.
