Immobilizer functionality can be observed using the PC GUI as well as visual feedback from the Atmel
STK600. Place the key
fob with its immobilizer coil aligned and near to the Atmel ATA5272-EK1 Basestation coil and press SW1 on the Atmel STK600.
Successful authentication (vehicle is NOT immobilized) is indicated on the Atmel STK600 by the right to left advancement of an
illuminated LED in the range of LED0 to LED4 and the illumination of LED6. It is also shown on the PC GUI with the appearance
of an Immobilizer icon. Since the immobilizer is a passive function, it can be demonstrated either with or without the key fob
battery in place.
