Prerequisites
• Crystal oscillator (with pins wired as shown in Fig. 4-8)
Procedure
Prepare the IE-78044-R-EM and the wired break board.
Remove the external clock component block from the socket (socket labeled X1 USRCLK) on the IE-78044-
R-EM.
Mount the crystal oscillator in socket X1 USRCLK.
Connect the crystal resonator to the socket pins as illustrated next.
The area enclosed by the broken lines indicates the portion to be attached to the component block.
