Demonstration Kit User Guide
Z-Link RCBs
Display Board
This section contains a description of the hardware furnished with the Demonstration
Kit.
The five RCBs are identical and each contains a radio and microcontroller. The micro-
controller contains the application firmware needed to run the demonstration. This
aplication is linked to the MAC (Medium Access Control), PHY, and HAL layers that
communicate with the AT86FR230.
The key components of the RCB are shown in Figure 3-1.

The Display Board is used to configure and monitor the network devices. Key compo-
nents of the Display Board are shown in Figure 3-2. An RCB mounted on the Display
Board is shown in Figure 3-3, and the connectors on the Display Board are shown in
Figure 3-4.
