2. Interfacing Protocol
2.1. RS-232 Operation
2.1.1. DIP Switch Settings and Pin Signals
The 9XCite RS-232/485 RF Modem supports the following interfacing protocols:

* The ‘Pin Reference Name’ provides an associative tag that references commands used to define pin behaviors.
GPI stands for ʺGeneral Purpose Inputʺ and GPO stands for ʺGeneral Purpose Outputʺ. As an example, the CD
command is used to define the behavior of GPO2 (DB‐9 pin number 1). The ‘Pin Reference Name’ is the name
used when referring to XCite commands and parameters.
