Subject : Material change on the case and bushing of the EP11 Pushbuttons from
thermo set and red 6/6 nylon to natural 4/6 nylon
To Whom It May Concern :
This notification is being provided to C&K customers and distributors who receive the
following series from C&K:
EP11 – Pushbuttons (All Models)
Reason for Change : Standardizing 4/6 Nylon on sub-mini series, 4/6 nylon has a
more robust temperature range for processing.
Effect on Product:
There will be no effect on the form, fit, or function of these switches. C&K has been
using red 6/6 nylon and thermo set in this series for many years. C&K will now be using
a natural (white) 4/6 nylon that has a higher temperature rating. This is the same material
that is currently being used on the SMT versions of the EP.
Product Delivery During Transition:
Manufacturing sites will be fulfilling orders on the EP11 models only in the new 4/6
nylon material effective immediately. The other circuits (EP12 and EP21) will transition
to 4/6 nylon once current inventory of the red 6/6 nylon has been consumed.
