D6 Product Change Notification

New tooling equipment

We have noticed that years after years there is a very strong request for the D6 switch on the market.

ITT is very confident in the commercial prospect of the D6 and has decided to put in place a new line in

order to replace the old tooling and to secure the long-term availability of the D6 switch.

This tooling and manufacturing equipment have now been qualified and starting in week 11, the D6

production will manufactured with the new tooling.

Together with the tooling change, ITT has worked to improve the D6 and brought the following

modifications to the D6 switch:

MODIFICATION/IMPROVEMENTS

Improvement of the brightness of the color especially of the red color. However we have been very

careful to keep a RoHS compatible material for the caps.

We have now 2 forces: the 1,3N (same force as before) and the 2,5N (new version with higher force).

We have improved the packaging quality.

Instead of having 500 pieces in bulk in a box, the switches are not positioned in trays of 250 pieces. 10

trays are stacked together in a box totaling 2500pcs.

So we will not deliver any quantity below 2500 pieces anymore.

Thanks to some work done on the dome of the switch we insure a life expectancy of 250k operations

for the F1 version and 100k operations for the F2 version. (before 100k operations only)

A new datasheet will be issued in week 9.
