The Atmel
STK600 ISP capability may be used to program other AVR microcontrollers in this kit. Remove the end of the 6-wire
ISP cable connected to “ISP Pins Target Device” pin header (see
Figure 1-1 on page
3) and use this free end instead to connect
to the other PCBs supplied with this kit.
When using Atmel STK600 ISP, it is OK to ignore the warning message that appears indicating that the installed top card in the
Atmel STK600 contains the Atmel ATmega2560 and is not compatible with selected device.
1.4
PC Graphical User Interface
To improve the user experience, this kit includes a Graphical User Interface (GUI). It is provided to assist in the visualization of
system operation and contains both visual animation and audio feedback of common Car Access System functionality. To bring
up this capability, locate the STK600's RS-232 port and connect it to your PC's using supplied USB to Serial Converter. Locate
the file named “ATAK51001-V1_PC_Application.exe” in your distribution files and double click on it to enable its operation. The
opening screen will appear as shown in
Figure 1-8 on page
7.
