This release of the QuickWriter PIC MCU programmer and software includes data table support
for most 12bit (5X) and 14 bit (XX-midrange) and 18 series PICmicro MCUs; over 100 devices.
As new devices are added, updates are made available from our web pages at:
Simply download the update and install it into the same directory as QW.EXE. The next time you
start the software, the new devices will be added and, if necessary, the programmer’s firmware
will be updated.

This cable is designed to mate to .025 square post pins in a 1x7, 100mill pitch configuration.

Run ‘QuickWriter installation’ from the included CDROM to install the QuickWriter
software. You can also check our web pages to see if a newer release is available or table
updates are available.
Connect the provided DB9 serial cable between a serial port on your PC and the
QuickWriter.
Plug the provide power supply (12VAC, 1A) into a wall socket and plug its cable into the
power jack on the side of the programmer.
Plug the provided In-Circuit-Programming cable or an optional programming adapter into
the target connector (26pin). NOTE: the in-circuit cable uses a 2x7 housing. It is designed
to plug into the center of the 26-pin connector on the programmer. The INDEX key on
the cable housing orients and centers it properly (it only fits one way.)
OPTIONALLY, install our IDE and assembler from the provided CDROM
