M Series
Pin and Socket Connectors
Special Application Connectors
Special Application
Connectors are available in
the following configurations:
V.35 Connector
The 34 position V.35
Connector is fully assembled
and ready for placement on
a printed circuit board. They
are also available in kit form
for cable assembly. These
AMP V.35 connectors meet
the requirements of 408-2593
for CCITT V.35 interfacing.
High current connectors a r e
designed for applications
requiring up to 25 amperes
of current. They are available
in 12-position male and
female housings which have
rectangular contact cavities
for accepting Type XII
c o n t a c t s .
Mixed connectors a r e
d e s i g n e d for applications
that require intermixing
signal, power and/or coaxial
circuits in the same connector
Dimensions are in inches and mil-
limeters unless otherwise specified.
Values in brackets are metric equiva-
lents.

housing. Housings are
available in 15-, 16-,
29 CF (center fastener)
and 42-position sizes and,
depending upon the specific
configuration, will accept
Multimate contacts, Type I
and Miniature, Standard and
Twin Standard COAXICON
contacts. The rectangular
contact cavities accept
Type XII contacts.
High voltage connectors a r e
designed for high voltage
applications using Multimate
contacts. The cavity center-
line spacings and the silo
construction of the contact
cavities increase the current
creepage path for higher
voltage ratings. Housing sizes
include 20 and 28 positions.
RFI/EMI shielding kits
provide shielding capabilities
a g a i n s t radio frequency and
electromagnetic interferences.
Special 104-position h o u s i n g s
accept Multimate contacts
and are especially designed
for use with shielding hard-
ware. These shielding kits
cannot be used with the
standard 104-position
connector housings.
Specifications subject to change.
Grounding blocks are
ideally suited for aircraft
applications, where shielded
cable is to be grounded to
an airframe. The ground wires
of shielded cables are pig-
tailed off with ferrules and
are crimped to Size 16
s o c k e t contacts. The con-
tacts are loaded into a
standard 14- or 3 4 - p o s i t i o n
connector housing. This con-
nector then can be mated to
the grounding block which is
fastened to the aircraft frame.
Grounding blocks have
Size 16 screw-machined p i n
contacts which are staked, r i v-
eted and soldered into the
L-shaped metal bracket. The
bracket has fixed jackscrew
receptacles that will accept
the special turnable jack-
screws fastened to the mating
socket connector half.
