The PKM4000D series DC/DC converters can be
offered with a baseplate. Baseplate helps to cool
hotspots more efficient during heavy load. The
baseplate have approximately 5°C improved
derating compared to datasheet showing non
baseplated PKM4000D. The baseplate is
intended to be mounted on a cold wall to transfer
heat away from the converter. By mounting
PKM4000D in this way thermal derating can be
improved by more than 10°C .
