Reason For Discontinuance
After successful implementation and results of initial pilot (refer to 9/11/2009 notice), ADI is proceeding with phase 2 consolidation of additional 218x
products allowing further streamlining of DSPS operations.
In phase 2 ADI has carefully selected a number of speed and temperature grades models that could be consolidated under one model. As in the past our driving
concern is to minimize customer impact. We don’t foresee need for re-qualification of customer applications as replacement is a higher grade part with
identical form, fit and function but have higher temperature and / or speed range parameters. Customers will have to update their BOM and purchasing records.
Outstanding orders (backlog) will be used to draw down current inventory levels of lower grade models while current price quotes will be honored when
shipping higher grade replacement parts.
