The MCP9805 has a 16-bit read/write Event output
Temperature Upper-Boundary Trip register (T
16-bit Lower-Boundary Trip register (T
16-bit Critical Boundary Trip register (T
contains 11-bit data in two’s compliment format
(0.25 °C/LSb). This data represents the maximum and
minimum temperature boundary or temperature
window that can be used to monitor ambient tempera-
ture. If this feature is enabled (Section 4.1.2 “Sensor
Configuration Register (CONFIG)”) and the ambient
temperature exceeds the specified boundary or
window, the MCP9805 asserts an Event output. (Refer
to Section 4.2.3 “Event Output Configuration”).
