In Figure 3, the Power Management combo box con-
trols bit 7 of MAX9702 command register. B7 determines
whether the MAX9702 is in normal mode (i.e., powered
up) or soft-shutdown mode. The default setting is
POWER_UP.
The Input Source Select combo box shown in Figure 4
allows the user to configure the MAX9702 multiplexer,
which acts as a mixer to independently enable or dis-
able both the stereo and mono inputs. The default set-
ting is STEREO. This combo box controls B5 and B6 of
the MAX9702 command register.
