On the Loss/Length tab in Setup, set the main and
remote testers to Smart Remote mode.
Clean the tester's and source's OUTPUT connectors and
the reference test cord connectors; then make the
connections shown in Figure 7-15.
On both testers press

Try various connections to the patch panel with the
main tester’s INPUT fiber until the input fiber’s Link
Status shows CONNECTED.
Then try various connections with the main tester’s
OUTPUT fiber until the output fiber’s Link Status shows
CONNECTED. Table 7-11 shows the main tester results
for Smart Remote mode.
