CodeWarrior for M•CORE Embedded Systems is a powerful
yet easy-to-use tool suite designed specifically to increase
your software development productivity. The CodeWarrior
Integrated Development Environment provides unparalleled,
intuitive GUI-based development tools for the M•CORE
family of microcontrollers, hosted on Windows. This IDE
includes an advanced compiler, assembler, debugger, linker
for C, C++ and Assembly. The state-of-the-art CodeWarrior
project manager and build system, code browser and code
navigation system allow you to write solid code while
accelerating your compile-build-debug cycles. Because the
CodeWarrior development environment is tightly integrated,
you’ll spend less time navigating between tools and more
time generating code.
EXAMPLE HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE TO KICK-
START YOUR DEVELOPMENT:
What could be better than actual operating code installed on
the development board as a reference? Burned into on-board
flash is the Metrowerks Target Resident Kernel (MetroTRK)
ROM monitor. The source code for MetroTRK can be found
on the CodeWarrior CD to understand how the MMC2107
and its peripherals are being initialized. Additional
MMC2107 peripheral initialization examples can be found as
example projects within the CodeWarrior IDE.
Need to understand how to design the MMC2107 into your
actual system? Full schematics for the development board
can be found in the user’s manual for the board. Additional
help in the form of applications notes for specific hardware
design issues can be found on the Motorola support site for
