The EVB51JM128 is fully tested and operational before shipping. If it fails to function properly,
inspect the board for obvious physical damage first. Verify the communications setup as de-
scribed under GETTING STARTED.

Verify input power is connected. Using a multi-meter, measure at least +7V at input
power.
Verify default option jumper settings and RESET the board.
Verify the PC COM port is working by substituting a known good serial device or by doing
a loop back diagnostic.
If the accelerometer fails to function as expected when powered from the USB BDM, ap-
ply power to the board from an external power supply.
Disconnect all external connections to the board except for UART0 to the PC and the wall
plug and check operation again.
