Introduction
This data sheet covers the 71M6543F (0.5%) and 71M6543H (0.1%) 4th-generation Teridian polyphase
energy measurement system-on-chips (SoCs). The term “71M6543F/H” is used when discussing a device
feature or behavior that is applicable to both part numbers. The appropriate part number is indicated
when a device feature or behavior is being discussed that applies only to a specific part number. This
data sheet also covers details about the companion 71M6xx3 isolated current sensor device.
This document covers the use of the 71M6543F/H in conjunction with the 71M6xx3 isolated current
sensor. The 71M6543F/H and 71M6xx3 ICs make it possible to use one non-isolated and three additional
isolated shunt current sensors to create polyphase energy meters using inexpensive shunt resistors,
while achieving unprecedented performance with this type of sensor technology. The 71M6543F/H SoCs
also support Current Transformers (CT).
