Full-time 32kHz square wave output
The M41T80 offers the user a special 32kHz square wave function which defaults to output
on the F
function is available within four seconds of initial power-up and can only be disabled by
setting the 32kE Bit to '0' or the ST Bit to '1.' If not used, the F

Bits D7 and D6 of Clock Register 03h contain the CENTURY ENABLE Bit (CEB) and the
CENTURY Bit (CB). Setting CEB to a '1' will cause CB to toggle, either from a '0' to '1' or

CB will not toggle.
