Description and Extent of Change:
The existing design of top and bottom cast housing is changed to top cast housing and bottom metal stamped
housing. No change for the PCB and optics assembly. There is no change in optical/electrical performance. All
critical features and dimensions of housing remain unchanged. Appendix 1 shows the changes on housing and
the solder post.
Reasons for Change:
To enhance the product manufacturability and assurance of supply.
Effect of Change on Fit, Form, Function, Quality, or Reliability:
Effective Date of Change:
Product shipments using this change will begin on or after August 3, 2009 (WW0932). Timing of shipment of
the changed part will vary by part number depending on qualification completion, customer demand, and
inventory levels.
