9 Using WISM+ in Bridge Mode w/Access Point
In the following scenario, we are going to connect two PCs using a wireless connection between the WISM+ Dev Kit
and an access point in 802.11b/g infrastructure mode. The WISM+ will be in Bridged mode and the TCP stack in the
PCs will guarantee delivery of the file across the network. We will then copy a large file from one PC to the other
across the WISM+/Access point link in order to test network throughput.

Connect the access point to the remote PC with an Ethernet cable. Firewall and Virus protection may have to
be disabled on both host and remote PCs. Set up a shared folder on both PCs, so each will be able to
access the folder on the opposite PC once the wireless connection is established.
Make sure that both laptops have their TPC properties (for the wired Ethernet connection) set up to obtain an
IP address automatically (DHCP).
Configure the access point to have an SSID (in this example “TEST”) and no security.
