11 Dev Kit Design
11.1 PCB Stack-Up
The Dev Kit Printed Circuit Board (PCB) is a 4 layer PCB made with standard FR4 material. The solder mask
technology is SMOBC. The diagram below shows the basic PCB stack-up for the 4 layer PCB.
The Ethernet PHI interface requires good PCB design practices in order to yield acceptable EMI suppression. Use of
ground plane which encloses noisy signals and clocks is imperative in order to produce a quiet design.
