3M™ Greptile™ Gripping Material is a unique product based on 3M's proprietary
technology called micro replication. Micro replication refers to the ability to
replicate multiple microstructures with exact precision and consistency. The 3M™
Greptile™ Gripping Material consists of a high friction non-PVC elastomeric
thermoplastic surface, with backing, that can be sewn, adhered or wrapped to
various substrates. When used alone, on a single surface, it provides a strong
secure grip in dry and wet environments. When used as a system, gripping itself,
grip strength is maximized without fastening or adhesion between the surfaces.
Greptile gripping material can be shear cut, die-cut, or converted by other
applicable methods. The material can be self adhered, with or without sewing
assist, to a wide variety of substrates using most commercially available
equipment.
To be used on hand rails and tools for the Oil & Gas Industry. Ideally suited for
offshore rigs.
3M™ Greptile™ Gripping Material can be used as a component of both hard and
