The combination of 3M™ Stamark™ High
Performance Marking Tape #L381i and 3M
matting can potentially help improve worker
safety and comfort in well mouth operations.
The durable, conformable, retroreflective
tape provides hazard visibility and anti-skid
properties even when wet. 3M™ Nomad™
Scraper Matting and 3M™ Clean and Strip™
Matting provide anti-slip and anti-fatigue
properties. One or all three products can be
used in whatever configuration works best
for the work environment.
For areas where the tape is applied, remove excess oil
from the surface with 3M™ Citrus Base Cleaner. Even
though the tape is adhesive backed, to ensure the
bond, it is recommended that 3M™ Stamark™ Contact
Cement E-44T be applied to the surface where the tape
is to be placed. No adhesive is required to secure a
mat as the weight is usually enough to keep it in place.
Workers will not only be alerted to hazards by the bright
yellow colored tape but will appreciate the anti-skid
properties provided by the abrasion-resistant ceramic
beads embedded in highly durable polyurethane. The
open web construction of these mats allows for easy
washing and for oils, grease, and other liquids to pass
through, keeping the traffic portion of the mat as clean
as possible for workplace safety. The thickness of the
web provides some anti-fatigue properties.
