The JDSU transceiver is a CLASS 1 LASER PROD-
UCT as defined by the international standard IEC
60825-1, Am.2 (2001). The product also complies
with U.S.A. regulations for Class 1 products con-
tained in 21 CFR 1040.10 and 1040.11. Laser emis-
sions from Class 1 laser products are not
considered hazardous when operated according to
product specifications. Operating the product with a
power supply voltage exceeding 5.0 volts may com-
promise the reliability of the product, and could
result in laser emissions exceeding Class 1 limits
