PCI-SA1200 Reset register does not function as specified.
Three mechanisms are used to reset the IXP1240:
Problems have been observed in attempting to reset the IXP1240 via the PCI_RST# input or the
IXP1200_RESET register (SW reset).
In summary:

Branch and Return
Certain sequence of instructions will cause dropping of an instruction following the return
instruction.
A RTN or JUMP may not follow a branch whose branch decision is made at the P3 pipeline stage.
These branches include all Class 3 branch instructions and branches where the decision has been
postponed to the P3 stage. Please see Section 4.5.1 (Class 3 Instructions) and Section 4.5.4
(Postponed Branch Decision) of the IXP1200 Network Processor Family Hardware Reference
Manual and Sections 3.20 and 3.29 of the IXP1200 Network Processor Family Programmers
Reference Manual for more information.
