Application Note
This application note describes the design of a low-cost chopper motor
control drive system based on the MC68HC705MC4 microcontroller, the
MGP7N60E IGBT (insulated gate bipolar transistor), and the MSR860
ultra-fast soft diode. This low-cost, single-phase power board is
dedicated for universal brushed motors. Such a low-cost microcontroller
is powerful enough to do the whole job necessary for driving a closed
loop chopper drive.
