each end of a passive cable assembly boosts the signal and improves receiver

sensitivity to provide a dramatic decrease in cable gauge and an increase in cable

reach - up to three times that of a passive cable.

The QLx111GRx is a settable equalizer with advanced protocol support for

10GBASE-CR (10G Ethernet over copper cable), and other high-speed appli-

cations. The equalizer compensates for frequency dependent attenuation of

non-return-to-zero (NRZ) data on twin-axial copper cables. It is also specifically

optimized to compensate for group velocity dispersion problems in stressful

data patterns such as 64b/66b encoding of 10G Ethernet. The small form factor,

highly-integrated design is ideal for high-density cable applications. LOS support

is included for module applications.
