Remote controllers have become an increasingly more
popular feature in TVs, stereos, VCRs, and air
conditioners.
Fig. 6-11 shows example of CERALOCK
control transmission ICs. Oscillation frequency is
normally 3.2M to 4MHz, with 3.64MHz being the most
popular. This 3.64MHz is divided by a carrier signal
generator, so that a carrier of approximately 38kHz is
generated.
With the applications of ICs in office machines, many
CERALOCK
digital signal processor (D.S.P.) in CD's ICs. Fig. 6-12
shows application example. It is believed that this type
of application will increase in the future.
Other than the above mentioned uses, CERALOCK
widely used with ICs for voice synthesis.
Fig. 6-13 shows example of voice synthesis.
