CLUT4 can only be used in double resolution mode (768 pixels/line).

Direct RGB555 (R, G, and B in 5 bits each) is intended mainly for computer graphic images. It passes
the pixel data of both channels directly to plane B. To comply with RGB777, two LSBs of 0 are added.
To control RGB555 pixel transparency, a transparency bit (T) is used. Figure 7–4 shows the data struc-
ture of an RGB555 pixel.
