However, you can order a special TQFP64 device adapter (ref.: DB379) to allow
you to connect an actual TQFP64 device to the Yamaichi socket (i.e. without
soldering the MCU directly to the footprint).
You can order this TQFP64 device adapter (ref.: DB379) from your nearest
STMicroelectronics Microcontroller Development Tools Sales Support.
On the upper face of this adapter you will find a low insertion socket for your
programmed device. A chamfer on the adapter marks the location of pin 1 and
must be aligned with the pin 1 chamfer on the Yamaichi socket base.
On the upper face of this adapter you will also find 64 numbered pins enabling
access to the device pin voltage. These pins are numbered as they appear on the
device user datasheets.
Trigger/trace settings
The Trigger/Trace Settings dialog box (shown below), allows you choose a variety
of options:

Select between two hardware event modes: trace filtering enabled or trace
filtering disabled. In the first mode, the recording of the trace buffer is controlled
using the same hardware events as those used to control the signals from the
external output trigger. See below for details on the external output trigger,
TRIGOUT.
Choose to enable the Break on TRIGIN option. For details on the input trigger,
TRIGIN, see below.
Choose to enable the Break on Trace Overflow option. With this option
enabled, once the trace buffer is full, the program is stopped.
