The CN8237, functioning as an ATM UNI, provides a high throughput uplink to a
broadband network. Most individual ATM service users (or clients) do not have
the bandwidth requirements to equal the throughput capability of the CN8237. As
an application example, ATM clients can be Ethernet or Frame Relay ports.
Therefore, many service clients are typically aggregated onto one ATM UNI.
