When the three-phase synthesized voltage reaches the voltage specified by the Icut pin, drive outputs
(UH, UL, VH, VL, WH and WL) are set Low. The drive output operation is restarted when a voltage is
reapplied to the VSP pin. In such cases, the VSP voltage must be no higher than 1.5 V. The input
voltage range for the Icut pin is 2.5 V to Vrefout. The Iduty and Icut voltages should be Iduty ≤ Icut.

These features are intended for the protection of external output drivers. Considerations on the
internal delay between the overcurrent detection and the actual stop timing of the operation are
required to avoid any damage to the external power device.

Thus, setting the Iduty pin voltage to 3.99 V limits the phase current peak to about 1.5 A. The
setting error can be considered to be ± 20%.
