13.1.7 Baud rate generator (BRG)
Bit 3: Stop bit length selection bit (STPS)
Bit 2: Parity selection bit (PARS).
Bit 1: Parity enable bit (PARE).
Bit 0: Character length selection bit(CHAS) .
The UART control register consists of four control bits (bits 0 to 3) that are valid when
asynchronous serial I/O is selected and set the data format of a data transfer and one bit (bit
4), which is always valid and sets the output structure of the TxD 0/1 pin.

The baud rate generator determines the baud rate for serial transfer. The baud rate generator
divides the frequency of the count source by 1/(n), where n is the value written to the baud rate
generator.
= 1: 2 stop bits.
= 1: Odd parity.

= 1: N-channel open drain output.
= 0: 1 stop bit.
= 0: Even parity.
= 0: Parity disabled.
= 0: 8 bits.
