LAN Emulation Client Identifier: a unique identifier for a LAN Emulation Client (LEC). The LECID
table is capable of storing 32 LECIDs.
The system designer can initialize this table to contain the LECIDs of LAN Emulation Clients
that are transmitting multicast frames (point-to-multipoint Emulated LAN traffic) on an ATM
network. Thus, with the LECID_EN bit set to a logic high on a channel, the RSM Coprocessor
looks for a match in the LECID table with the LECID in each received LANE frame, and if a
match, the frame is discarded. This implements echo suppression of superfluous
multi-broadcast LANE traffic on the ATM network.
