The GDMA application supports GDMA slave and PIO modes. These modes are
selected based on the vendor-specific command issued by the host. The host sends an
8-byte set-up packet, followed by 6-byte vendor-specific information. The number of
bytes to be transferred, the direction of transfer, and the mode of transfer are embedded
in the vendor-specific command.
