For the read and write access it is necessary to distinguish between a connection and
configuration command. The connection command register is used to establish a
connection (described in
configure the device, e.g. set the clock frequency.
If the ISTA1:RDY bit is set the connection command register is ready to receive data
from the µP interface. If the parameter register and the connection command register are
written the RDY bit will be reset from the internal controller. If the connection is
established the internal controller will set the RDY bit and the connection command
register is ready for the next write or read access. The ISTA1:RDY can be enabled to
generate an interrupt to indicate that the device is ready to receive the data, otherwise
the µP must poll the ISTA1:RDY bit.
The configuration command register works independent from the RDY bit.
Note: There must be a recovery time period of 120 ns after every configuration
