Description
Display Processor and Scan Rate Converter using Embedded DRAM Technology Units
Manufacturer
MICRONAS [Micronas]
Datasheet
SDA9410
The scan rate conversion of the colour difference signals is also vector based. As it was
experimentally found that the dynamic resolution of the colour is not masked completely
by the luminance, motion compensated chrominance processing is implemented. The
chrominance motion compensation uses the vector results of the luminance motion
estimation.
The characteristic of the median filter can be changed by the I²C Bus parameter FILSEL.

For camera mode and film mode different scan rate conversion algorithms and motion
estimation processes are valid. Therefore the information about camera mode or film
mode and the corresponding phase are necessary to adapt the processing. In the SDA
9410 the film mode, film type and phase detection is based on the analysis of the motion
